Our Premium Certified Laboratory Created diamonds are grown in a laboratory from a lab-grown carbon seed, under extreme heat and pressure to recreate the conditions under the earth's surface. There are two main methods of growing the diamonds, being HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) and CVD (Chemical Vapor Disposition). Both methods are capable of producing beautiful diamonds of the highest grades and qualities.

Yes laboratory created diamonds are often referred to as lab-grown diamonds, lab-diamonds, cultured diamonds, synthetic diamonds or man-made diamonds.

A laboratory created diamond is chemically identical to a mined diamond. The difference is the chemical composition of the stones. Secrets Signature Simulant Diamonds are grown in a lab from the mineral base zirconium oxide and are the highest grade latest technology AAAAA cubic zirconia. Moissanite is also a simulant diamond grown in a lab from silicon carbide. Laboratory created diamonds are grown from a lab-grown carbon seed and are chemically identical to a mined diamond. All three stones are created in a lab with minimal environmental impact.

Both stones are chemically, physically, and optically identical, so they will exhibit the same properties and characteristics when tested. Among these are hardness, refractive index, thermal conductivity, and other unique characteristics of diamonds, whether they are mined or lab grown diamonds.
