Cut to Exacting
Secrets diamond simulants are always shaped to the highest standard, with many hand cut to the most exacting proportions. Our quality control process means each finished cut stone is examined under magnification. Only those that are absolutely perfect continue on to be set into our solid gold and sterling silver jewellery.
Secrets pear shape stones are cut by our master jewellers to deliver on symmetry, ideal length-to-width ratio, and a balanced and even outline. Secrets expert jewellers are careful to minimise light leakage (a bow-tie effect), which can appear in the lower mid-section, by adding extra facets to the tip of the stone (called French Tipping).
Pear shaped diamonds don't hide colour as well as other cuts, and the tip will often appear yellowish, revealing a lower-grade stone. However, Secrets diamond simulants are the highest grade stones which are equivalent to a D, E or F diamond GIA colour - this means they are completely colourless even at the tip!
